Perfecting an eyelash routine is no easy feat, particularly if you’re after a major curl. Sometimes, it requires bringing in the big guns, and by that, we mean the best heated eyelash curlers. Unlike traditional eyelash curlers that rely on pressure, these devices use heat to both lift, shape, and set the curl, similar to how hot styling tools shape your hair — but at a significantly lower heat setting suitable for the eye area.
There are many reasons why someone might be drawn to a heated lash curler over a manual curler, one being that most don’t clamp your lashes, so they are less damaging on fine or thin lashes. They’re also ideal for those with stick-straight lashes that resist curling in general. Celebrity makeup artist Kasey Spickard says that a heated method will be more long-lasting, similar to how curling iron curls will hold longer than a heatless curl method. As for those wondering, “Are heated eyelash curlers safe?” Yes! These tools reach a warm, not hot, temperature that prevents singed lashes.

Just like with the best mascaras, no heated eyelash curler is created equal. There are a few different versions on the market, the most popular being wand and comb options. The benefit of these over traditional clamps is they tend to create a more natural, fanned-out appearance, rather than a clamp that leaves a stark indentation. With the help of Spickard, plenty of research, and product testing, we’ve zeroed in on the eight best heated eyelash curlers for lifted lashes.

This eyelash curler is powered by pressure, similar to a manual option but with much more hold oomph. The ergonomic design heats up in 10 seconds and the silicone pad turns from transparent to red to indicate it’s ready to use. The heat creates a long-lasting curl and is safe to use on natural (but not when you’re wearing contact lenses). Follow up with waterproof or tubing mascara and your eyes will flutter from morning to night.
What testers say: “In trying to attain a different look to my eyelashes, I decided to try this one out. First, it is very easy to hold. It heats up quickly and wow!! The difference it makes on my eye lashes is really noticeable. Friends at work even commented and asked if I had changed my mascara because it looked so nice. I had no idea that something as simple as a heated eye lash curler would change my look.”

Grande Cosmetics’ signature product is its famous lash-enhancing serum, but that’s not the only product worth coveting among the brand’s offerings. Enter the GrandeLash-Lift Heated Lash Curler, which deserves an equal amount of praise. It has a curved design that ensures you hit every lash with a hot temperature, along with a grooved design that separates your lashes while safeguarding your eyelids and skin from the heat.
What testers say: “I have difficulty getting my lashes to curl with a conventional lash curler but by using the combination of first curling with my Grande conventional curler, applying my mascara then using the Grande Heated Lash Curler I can see a huge difference in the curl of my lashes, and it’s design makes it quite easy to use!”

Luxuring Store Heated Eyelash Curler
Heat settings: 3
Power source: Battery-operated
Special features: Records temperature used for last application for next use
Amazon Top-Quality Store Badge on Google: 4.5/5 stars
$16.99
This TikTok-famous beauty product closely mirrors the design of a traditional eyelash curler with a clamping mechanism. It replicates the age-old practice of warming an eyelash curler with a blow dryer, minus the additional step. Offering three customizable heat settings, with the hottest one suitable for your favorite false lashes or magnetic lashes too, the device lights up with corresponding colors for each temperature level. The brand recommends 149 degrees Fahrenheit (its lowest setting) for short lashes, 167 degrees for “average” lashes, and 185 degrees for long lashes. However, gradually building up the heat is the safest way to make sure your lashes respond well to the process.
What testers say: “These have made my eyelashes get so many compliments. I no longer wear fake lashes because of it. I always would deal with clumping and this truly separates every lash. The brow wand is also amazing and so soft great for everyday lamination.”

It’s best for those who have lashes that grow straight or downwards, and have trouble curling them with manual curler methods.
What testers say: “The Panasonic heated curler is amazing for me. It’s much faster than my old curler, doesn’t pull or pinch, works wonders on lower lashes, and keeps the curl all day!”

Best Gentle Curler
Chella Heated Eyelash Curler
Heat settings: 3
Power source: Battery-operated (One AAA battery required)
Amazon Top-Quality Store Badge on Google: 4.5/5 stars
$22
The Chella Heated Eyelash Curler is one of the most well-known in the industry, as its made by a brand that specializes in eye and brow makeup. According to the brand’s recommendation, it works best when used after applying mascara. While it takes approximately a minute to heat up — slightly longer than some other alternatives on this list — it’s worthwhile for individuals seeking a gentle heat option.
What testers say: “I have slightly straight lashes so I needed something that was just like “bam” for daily, events; and such. Which this is! Beyond happy how easy, quick, and simple this device is. I stopped wearing fakes during the week because some mascara and a quick heat curl does the job!”

Lash Star Heated Lash Curler

Bluemercury Top-Quality Store Badge on Google: 4.7/5 stars
$39
This heated lash curler has the most heat settings of all the options on our list, making it ideal for those easing into heated lash curlers. It even tells you the temperature on the screen. The design is similar to the aforementioned option from Grande Cosmetics, with tiny grooves to comb and separate your lashes. According to the brand, you can also use it on on your brows to tame them before locking them into place with a brow-setting gel, or to groom them after applying an eyebrow growth serum.
What testers say: “Lash Star’s Heated Curler is amazing and has become a staple in my everyday routine! I have naturally curly hair and my lashes tend to curl too. I use this product to straighten and curl them out before applying mascara. I also like to use the heated curler again after my first coat of mascara. I find that it gives more volume and my lashes are curled, and long lasting all day!”

Its thoughtfully curved design is tailored to fit seamlessly under your lashline. And to combat potential clumping, the brand goes the extra mile by providing an eyelash comb for definition from root to tip.
What testers say: “Omg this is the best eyelash curler, I will never go back to the regular eyelash curlers, ever! I have short, straight, light light brown thin lashes and this curls my lashes and holds the curl. It has worked awesome with 3 different mascaras I have tried.”

TouchBeauty Upgraded Heated Eyelash Curler
Heat settings: 3
Power source: Rechargeable
Special features: Double-sided design
Amazon Top-Quality Store Badge on Google: 4.5/5 stars
$19.99
This heated eyelash curler stands out for its double-sided design. It features a long curling comb on one side and a short one that’s perfect for targeting hard-to-reach areas, such as your inner corner lashes. The flexible, silicone bristles are cleverly spaced out to separate your lashes while you curl. You can customize your experience with three heat settings and the rechargeable feature ensures you don’t have to stress about battery replacements.
What testers say: “This magical device works so well. I haven’t used any others so I truly can’t say that this is the best choice of all the different brands but if you have not tried anything like this, you are going to be so happy when you do. I used the lowest setting pre and post mascara- worked well both ways.”

How to Use a Heated Eyelash Curler
How you use a heated eyelash curler varies, depending on which design you choose. If you’re using one that applies under the lash line, similar to a manual curler, start by carefully placing your lashes between the clamps. Press them together for the period of time recommended by the brand, and slowly release to reveal your curl. For wand designs, simply use it like a lash comb, beginning at the root of your lashes and gently pushing upward to form a lifted curl.
Spickard advises that traditional water-based mascaras should be applied before using your heated lash curler. If you coat the lashes after you curl, you run the risk of weighing them down with product, which may reverse the fresh curl (similar to if you wet your hair after using a curling iron). His ideal recommendation is to use a tubing mascara after curling your lashes. What makes tubing mascara different from regular mascara is that polymers create “tubes” around each individual lash, which work as built-in lash extensions and lock in the curl.
