There’s no doubt about it: Martha Stewart is one of the most legendary celebrities of our time. Recently, she’s put her first-ever book, “Entertaining,” back on shelves after almost 43 years — understandably generating much hype in the process. But WWD Shop editors are hyperfixating on something else entirely during her ongoing press tour for the release: Stewart’s glowing, somehow ageless complexion.

It’s no secret that the A-lister is a fan of the premium beauty brand Mario Badescu, to the point of its flagship NYC salon rolling out something called “The Martha Facial” a few years back and Stewart releasing her own collaborative Mario Badescu skin care kits made for each decade of one’s life. “I have been a customer of Mario Badescu since the 1960s, when Mr. Badescu was still alive and creating his magical products,” the entrepreneur, master entertainer, and media personality shared on her blog in June 2022.
Indeed, while you might be best acquainted with Mario Badescu through its clean, botanical-driven skin care essentials — including TikTok-viral facial sprays and the acne-banishing Drying Lotion — what many don’t know is that the company actually got its start in 1967. It was launched by none other than Mario Badescu himself, a chemist and cosmetologist from Romania who started offering facial services out of his Manhattan apartment (this is exactly where, as legend has it, Badescu first formulated the Drying Lotion). The rest, as they say, is history.
In the present day, Mario Badescu’s universe includes everything from toners and eye creams to lip balms and masks: operating on the ethos of providing customers with tried-and-true, customized solutions for most kinds of skin struggles under the sun.

In her aforementioned blog entry, Stewart describes the kinds of Mario Badescu must-haves she’s been a longtime fan of, including the “drying lotion, vitamin C serum, facial spray with aloe, herbs, and rosewater, super collagen mask, cellufirm drops, mineral sunscreen,” and more.
Though implementing this roster of products into your daily routine will not make you age in reverse, Stewart’s facialist Carmela Barabas confirmed multiple times that her client’s Mario Badescu regimen has been a driving force in helping her age gracefully, with radiant, dewy skin to show for it.
Ready to follow in Stewart’s footsteps? Here are the Mario Badescu bestsellers that have her seal of approval… and those that our editors consider no-brainer buys in any season. With consistent use, they’re likely to grant you results worthy of your own documentary.

Editor-Approved Mario Badescu Skin Care Essentials
Mario Badescu Repairing Facial Spray With Hypochlorous Acid
$9
More specialized than Mario Badescu’s regular assortment of facial sprays, this top seller soothes redness, mellows out flare-ups, and boasts antibacterial properties courtesy of its star ingredient: hypochlorous acid. It’s gentle enough for those with sensitive skin… but you can also spritz the spray onto makeup tools, so as to disinfect them.

Mario Badescu Oil Free Moisturizer
$23.80 $28 15% off
A daily moisturizer that won’t clog pores and moonlights as a sunscreen for protecting yourself against UV rays, even in the dead of winter? Now that’s something worth celebrating (and buying, stat).
Price upon publish date of this article: $23.80
Mario Badescu Strawberry Face Scrub
$19.95
Your “strawberry girl summer” can smoothly transition to “strawberry girl fall,” with a little help from this exfoliating facial scrub that’s powered by strawberry seeds — working to even out skin’s texture while whisking away the buildup it accumulates on any given day.

Mario Badescu Lip Mask With Acai and Vanilla
$14
We said it: Lip care is an essential part of skin care and should under no circumstances be given second-class treatment. Revive your pout with this “Amazon’s Choice” bestseller that can (and should) be used overnight, adding suppleness and hydration to your lips in no time.

Martha-Approved Mario Badescu Skin Care Essentials
Mario Badescu Drying Lotion
$18
Based on Martha Stewart’s close relationship with Mario Badescu (both the brand and the person), we’re really not surprised that she considers its iconic Drying Lotion as one of her favorite things. A hero product through and through, it works to diminish the appearance of blemishes on the skin’s surface overnight — literally.

Mario Badescu Vitamin C Serum
$45
As far as we’re concerned, vitamin-boosted serums should take up prime real estate in everyone‘s beauty bag. This one from Mario Badescu helps reduce the visible signs of aging, feels lightweight, and works to brighten the overall complexion. No wonder Stewart absolutely glows whenever she walks into a room.

Mario Badescu Facial Spray With Aloe, Herbs, and Rosewater
$16
A true bestseller with close to 10,000 five-star reviews, Mario Badescu’s Facial Spray is ideal for using as an on-the-go refresher during travels, after work meetings, and at any other moment of your day: leaving you feeling balanced and revitalized. The heavy-hitting ingredients here include rose and thyme extracts, not to mention the moisture-enhancing aloe.

Mario Badescu Super Collagen Mask
$20
Deemed a “frequent-flyer favorite,” this mask runs on the powers of skin-plumping collagen, pore-tightening kaolin clay, and inflammation-calming oatmeal. Use it for 20 minutes a day, two to three days a week to see a change, and, per Mario Badescu, don’t be afraid to apply the mask mid-flight.
Price upon publish date of this article: $20
Mario Badescu Cellufirm Drops
$25
Stewart is also a card-carrying member of the “Cellufirm Drops fan club.” A protein-enriched serum, it’s meant to be applied on the face and décolletage area — improving texture, moisture levels, and elasticity.
Price upon publish date of this article: $25
Mario Badescu Super Rich Olive Body Lotion
$22
According to Stewart’s facialist, this right here is a long-time favorite of hers, and it’s easy to see why. Rich, never greasy, and meant to be applied liberally (though not on your face this time), the lotion leaves your bod feeling nourished and silky-smooth (thanks, olive oil and lanolin!).
