Let’s start with the value: Where competitors like Rhode and Laneige pack 0.3 oz of product into their respective tubes of lip balm, Summer Fridays gives you a generous 0.5 oz of formula. Better yet, this is one of the most long-lasting lip balms we’ve found while conducting testing for our lists of the best lip balms and lip masks; I find that I only need to reapply after three hours of wear.

The secret to the Lip Butter Balm’s staying power is a concoction of proven skin-softeners like shea butter and murumuru seed butter, plus vegan waxes that lock the moisture in place. Many flavored lip balms can cause irritation on sensitive lips (particularly ones with a wallop of artificial fragrance or minty essential oils), but this one is subtly flavored with a taste that mimics a latte with a spoonful of sugar swirled in. The scent is soft, sweet, and warming.

As for the tint, it’s a nearly translucent tone with a hint of chestnut that enhances the look of your natural lip color with the finish of a lip gloss. I love to trace my lips in a nude lip liner, blend it out with my ring finger, then apply a thick coat of the Iced Coffee lip balm: The result is fuller-looking lips that feel smooth and hydrated for hours on end.
