In a sea of elegant dresses that delivered the drama at last night’s 2025 Golden Globe Awards, Ayo Edebiri simply shined in a bespoke Loewe suit by Jonathan Anderson with a gold feather necktie and one of our all-time favorite everyday accessories: Mejuri Easy Huggie Hoops.
So, why did “The Bear” actress opt for such low-profile earrings? Well, for starters, these Mejuri earrings are a best-selling huggie earring style that every woman should have in her jewelry box. Secondly, the understated hoops were the best choice to pair with her Julia Roberts-inspired ensemble compared to the chandelier earrings and statement stunners that adorned most attendees in fashionable attire. According to a recent Vogue article, Edebiri and stylist Danielle Goldberg planned to suit up for the 2025 Golden Globes after the duo discussed Roberts’ iconic red carpet look back in October. And they weren’t the only ones who had this suited style in mind leading up to one of Hollywood’s most glamorous award shows, as WWD‘s style director Alex Badia had the same look in mind when discussing his all-time favorite Golden Globes red carpet moments with model Ashley Graham during the livestream of WWD Eye on the Golden Globes.

“I have a weakness for ’90s fashion,” said Badia during the start of the livestream, which you can still view now while shopping WWD’s Amazon Beauty storefront. “I love Julia Roberts in that 1990s Giorgio Armani suit with the tie that’s timeless and more relevant than ever. Look at the Saint Laurent show this season — half of the show [looks], to me, were all Julia Roberts with a beautiful power shoulder and tie.”
Long before celebrity stylists (such as this year’s WWD Style Awards winner Kate Young), when supermodels were on the covers of mainstream magazines and actresses wanted to be taken seriously for their craft instead of being brand ambassadors, Mr. Armani was one of the first fashion designers to dress the women of Hollywood for awards shows, including A-list actresses like Jodie Foster and Michelle Pfeiffer.
As seen in throwback ’90s red carpet imagery, power suits were all the rage at the time. In fact, following the year after her big win in the beloved big-shouldered suit, Roberts wore a pinstripe skirt suit to accept her Golden Globe for Best Actress in “Pretty Woman”.

In true Edebiri fashion, the Golden Globe winner put a modern spin on the Roberts reference in a tailored blazer and beautifully draped pants with a Loewe-logo patch at the waistband, similar to pieces in Anderson’s spring 2025 Loewe women’s collection, and paired it with an eye-catching, gilded feather tie, just like the feathers that flocked down the Loewe menswear runway show this season. To complete her golden style, the actress wore a grill and these Mejuri huggies for added elements of shine.

The choice of earrings stayed true to Roberts’ 1990 Golden Globes look, as the “Steel Magnolias” star also wore sets of simple small hoops that evening. Just like the Easy Huggie Hoop earrings shown on-model on Mejuri’s website, Edebiri wore more than one pair to re-create a minimalist-yet-impactful ear curation.

Beyond the perfect price point, the beauty of these 14k gold hollowed huggies is its ability to be worn daily with an easy-to-wear clicker closure that keeps them secured for any occasion. Best of all, Mejuri sells single small charms to add to your handcrafted Easy Huggie Hoops, making it effortlessly fun to dress them up or down.

Whether your style is so Ayo or so Julia, these versatile hoops are a steal when calculating cost-per-wear value.
