In 2026, Mattel is doubling down and averting any PR blunders with a Holiday Barbie that, by all accounts, looks genuinely gorgeous. The collectible comes in multiple skin tones and hair colors, representative of the brand’s commitment to championing diversity. She’s also joined by a range of boyfriends, with shoppers being able to pick one that has traditionally light or dark features.

Already, adults have sparked passionate conversations on social media about the latest Holiday Barbie and Ken duo. “He’s so handsome! Always in need of more rooted Kens,” a Reddit user says, referring to the lifelike, brushable hair that’s inserted directly into the doll’s head.
