The pieces here are just as spunky and charming as the hotel's most beloved (and iconic) resident.

It’s no secret that WWD Shop‘s editors are… well, there’s no better way to put it… obsessed with Petite Plume sleepwear — being particular devotees of the brand’s The Olivia pajamas, 100,000 units of which are expected to be sold before the end of the year. Naturally, we keep tabs on all developments in the Petite Plume universe, and the latest is something we just couldn’t keep from you, dear reader.

Enter: one of Petite Plume’s most darling collections to date, which captures the spirit of none other than Eloise and her lovable misadventures at New York’s The Plaza hotel. The Petite Plume x Eloise collab is a true treat for the young and young at heart alike, as it features matching PJ sets for kids and women in a classic pink stripe, plus baby rompers and snug-fit children’s pajamas illustrated with the most memorable symbols from “Eloise at the Plaza” (peep the chandeliers, coquettish bows, and drawings of the six-year-old herself).

Why this particular character and storyline? The buzzy brand’s chief marketing officer, Fanny Quehe, has an instant answer. “This year marks [Eloise’s] 70th anniversary, and the timing couldn’t have been more fitting to honor such an enduring icon,” Quehe shares with WWD. “That sense of heritage, of charm and sophistication, mirrors what we aim to create at Petite Plume: heirloom-quality pieces that feel both classic and alive with imagination.”
If you’ve been exposed to Eloise’s New York City side quests in either book or movie form (watch it on Prime Video with an Amazon Prime free trial), you know all about her wit, spunk, and independence — traits which are captured perfectly through the Eloise Suite Soireé design over an off-white background and the Eloise Adventures print, overlaid on the delicate and whimsical pink hue.
The Petite Plume x Eloise Kid’s Pima Snug Fit Pajama Set comes in sizes for kids ages 2-14, with many sold out already. Its breathable, 100-percent pima cotton composition is elevated vis-à-vis delightful graphics, like those of Eloise’s canine best friend Weenie, and hotel references such as “do not disturb” signs.
Should you want your child to go to bed each night swathed in flame-retardant fabric, the Kid’s Twill Pajama Set in Eloise Classic Stripe presents itself as a marvelous option: crafted out of inherently flame-retardant fibers that are interspersed with yarn-dyed cotton of the finest quality. Softness and coziness — that gets softer and cozier with every wash — is a guarantee here, because your precious little one deserves nothing less. The fit of this set is more relaxed than that of its snug counterpart, allowing ample room to wiggle, dance, and shake it out, while still keeping preppy looks a priority with the pajamas’ elegant stitching, front pocket, and crisp stripe.
Jumping on beds? Eloise would do it, and so can your own mischief-maker — wearing Petite Plume’s Kid’s Twill Pajama Set in Eloise Classic Stripe. Courtesy Petite Plume
Visually, these PJs closely resemble those that serve as Eloise’s uniform in the children’s book series written by Kay Thompson and illustrated by Hilary Knight. For immersing your matchmaking, debutante ball–attending, prince-befriending offspring into Eloise’s story even further, Petite Plume has also released limited-edition sets that include a pair of the pajamas and a copy of the children’s book (if none of these references landed, take that as all the more reason to catch up on your “Eloise” reading).
For your baby — or the baby your best friend just had — the Petite Plume x Eloise Baby Pima Romper, with its footie silhouette and ruffles at the neckline, is a no-brainer buy, insulating its tiny wearers from the approaching cold temperatures while ensuring proper airflow (Petite Plume advises that this romper be used for daywear only).
That being said, the instant-hit collaboration need not be reserved for just your kids. In fact, we urge you to match with them for all upcoming holiday photoshoots and precious mornings spent eating breakfast together as a family: with a little help from the Women’s Pima Pajama Set in Eloise Classic Stripe. Boasting “Eloise” embroidery at the pocket, these luxury pajamas made out of supple jersey knit will surprise you with just how smooth they feel underhand and how warming they are on the chilliest of days: akin to the tea our young heroine indulges in at The Plaza’s Palm Court.
What’s more, the set is fade-proof, has a slight and attractive drape, and will serve as the ideal excuse for, like Eloise, following your curiosity this season (or else just resting on the couch by the fire, you pick).
“The mommy-and-me element makes it even more special; it’s about connection across generations, creating memories that feel both timeless and personal,” says Quehe. “Ultimately, we want parents and children alike to feel transported into a world where luxury meets childhood wonder. If it inspires a few little ones to channel their inner Eloise and cause just a bit of mischief before bedtime, so be it!”
We’ll toast to that… with our tea cups, of course.
