Hot off a collaboration with New York City–based accessories destination Susan Alexandra, Hulken continues to make headlines: this time by emphasizing its democratic versus exclusionary values with the launch of two new, Target-exclusive colorways of the viral Large and Medium totes (Forest Green and Midnight Blue).

“I purchased the Hulken bag for my daughter’s dance competitions. Its big enough to fit several costumes, her bag of shoes, makeup kit, snack box, and lunch pail. Multipurpose too! I plan to use it for flea markets. I’d recommend to others and plan to purchase another color for myself,” says one certified Hulken schlepper.
We’re talking about the lifestyle label behind those durable bags you’ve probably been seeing on every crosswalk and in every grocery store as of late. The original, foldable, rolling Hulken bag is easy to recognize — with its four or five 360-degree wheels, water-resistant polypropylene finish and subsequently attractive sheen, plus two kinds of handles (one at the front for pulling and two at the sides for maneuvering over subway grates).
Given the ubiquitousness of Hulkens in 2026 — over a million were already sold worldwide, according to the brand — it’s almost unfathomable that the open-top storage solution was around since 2018, developed from an early prototype made by the father of one of its founders, himself a manufacturing expert in the packaging and industrial bag industry.

You know something is worth paying attention to when it’s busy generating dupe after dupe (just ask the Birkin), and it’s safe to say the Hulken is not without its imitators. The search terms “Aldi Hulken Dupe” and “Hulken Bag Dupe,” after all, are witnessing impressive year-over-year growth — even being bucketed by Google into the “Breakout” category, which refers to queries that have recently grown more than 5,000 percent in search volume.
A Medium Hulken (16″ x 12″ x 22”) sells for $110 on the direct site and a Large (20″ x 16″ x 26″) for $125. As of this month, though, you can get your hands on what just might be 2026’s most coveted street-style staple for less at Target, where the aforementioned special-edition hues are going for $88 and $100, respectively.
That’s a whole 20 percent off in savings on an item that practically epitomizes the beauty of the cost-per-wear ratio. In other words, you’ll soon be “wearing” the Hulken so frequently (fully incorporating it into, and even matching it to, your outfits du jour) that the bag’s price per use will be bumped down to mere cents, or even less.
It doesn’t hurt that Forest Green, with Midnight Blue handles, is an earthy shade considered to be one of the “It” colors of autumn. The blue, in its own right, is a moody jewel tone that mimics the effects of cobalt blue — endorsed in the fall 2026 collections of fashion houses from Chanel to Mugler.
More to look forward to: Each Hulken bag can fold down to a flat configuration, making it a godsend for urban dwellers and their tight apartments. The bestseller also guarantees sturdiness, stability, and strength while clocking in at just three pounds in weight for the Medium and four for the Large.

Meant to simplify your “everyday schlepping,” as Hulken puts it, borrowing the term from Yiddish (and lifelong New Yorkers), the industrial-grade, designed-in-Switzerland lifesaver also boasts more capaciousness than you’d expect (with a 120- or 60-liter volume, to be exact). No wonder customers swear by its efficiency for tasks from laundry pickup and farmers market hauls to dorm move-in and treks to the kids’ sports practice.
Truly, the Hulken bag (which we also spotted in the clutches of many a celebrity) can serve all sorts of purposes, and the company encourages you to get creative. House party at 8? Shuttle over those bottles without worrying about hailing a cab. Beach trip? You better believe all your towels, books, SPF essentials, and footwear changes will fit right in.
Dubbed “unbreakable,” the totes are further secured with built-in, zipper-equipped covers, meaning no unexpected downpour or gust of wind between two buildings will be able to destroy the order of whatever you’ve placed inside.
While Hulken now makes matte iterations of its hero product, the bag lineup at Target honors the most-loved metallic look of the quick-to-sell-out buy. You can also personalize your Hulken rolling tote at hulken.com, blessing it with up to 10 characters of text, but Target keeps things classic with a sleek appearance that doesn’t take its eyes away from the prize: transporting you and all your tchotchkes from point A to point B without sacrificing personal style in the process.
