When Disney’s live-action reimagining of “Moana” hit theaters on July 10, 2026, the beloved ocean adventure brought a new wave of island-inspired fashion and collectibles beyond the big screen, going so far as to touch one of summer’s most popular footwear trends: espadrilles.
We’re talking about HeyDude’s latest release, of course, which is a women’s “Moana” shoe that puts a Disney spin on this classic warm-weather silhouette.

$74.99
These espadrilles layer on the charm with built-in accessories. Color-happy crochet flowers bloom on the heel counter, while seashell beads dangle from the lace eyelets.

Optimized with the brand’s signature HeyComf cushioning, the “Moana” espadrille benefits from breathable cotton-linen uppers, removable insoles depicting Moana riding a wave while holding a spear, and flexible EVA outsoles.

Available in adult sizes 5-12 on Amazon, the stepper is further bedecked by Polynesian motifs and multicolored flower appliqués, leveraging another breakout obsession in the world of footwear: 3D florals, as spotted on celebrities like Zara Larsson. The elastic laces here deliver a more accommodating fit and are decorated with seashell beads, extending the “Moana” references.
In honor of Catherine Laga’aia’s adaptation, HeyDude’s rollout also levels up its espadrille with limited-edition branding on each tongue (because sometimes strengths lie beneath the surface).
Our favorite element, though? That rope material wrapping around the midsoles: a trademark of espadrilles. With origins in Spain, the style has become a go-to for editors, influencers, and celebrities alike — appreciated for its comfort and wearability in flat or high wedge form, on surfaces from concrete and grass to sand.

HeyDude’s “Moana” slip-on isn’t the first shoe to be unveiled in the past few months hand in hand with Disney. In June, “Toy Story 5” characters were brought to life courtesy of a collection from Clove, complete with Woody-, Buzz-, and Jessie-themed sneakers.
In 2016, Havaianas created its own “Moana” flip-flops, too, and a solid decade later, brands continue paying tribute to the franchise. Hop on the bandwagon for under $80 with this delightful Disney x HeyDude collab.
