TravisMathew is taking its latest golf shoe straight from the PGA Tour to the everyday golfer. The Southern California–based lifestyle and performance brand just introduced the Modern Tour, a premium spiked golf shoe developed in collaboration with two-time PGA Tour champion and TravisMathew brand ambassador Akshay Bhatia.

The Modern Tour silhouette might have Bhatia’s name attached, but it’s more than just the product of a traditional athlete partnership. The golfer worked closely with TravisMathew throughout the development process, testing and refining the shoe on the course during the 2026 season. In fact, the style made its unofficial debut well before today’s launch, with Bhatia wearing a custom version at tournaments like the Masters and the U.S. Open.

“It’s been such a great experience developing this shoe alongside the TravisMathew team,” Bhatia shared in a statement. “The team and I worked closely throughout the entire process… to create something we’re all really proud of, with the comfort and performance any golfer needs on the course.”

The result is golf footwear that leans into traditional aesthetics while emphasizing upgraded materials and underlying technology. Case in point: TravisMathew’s newest arrival boasts a high-quality synthetic leather upper designed to keep feet dry in wet conditions, along with a clean, one-piece vamp that makes the shoe easier to maintain.

Underfoot, the Modern Tour combines TravisMathew’s proprietary NuRise Tech insole with NuAge Foam cushioning, doling out support and responsive rebound when players need it most. A pressure point–tested TPU outsole, meanwhile, flaunts nine strategically positioned, replaceable spikes for traction and stability across changing course conditions.

“From the start, we wanted to create a shoe that reflected the roots of golf while incorporating modern materials, technology, and construction,” said Tim Kreuzberger, TravisMathew’s footwear and accessories design director. “Working closely with Akshay and his team helped us shape the Modern Tour into a timeless golf shoe with elevated craftsmanship and tour-level performance.”

The Modern Tour is available beginning Sept. 8 at TravisMathew.com and select TravisMathew retail locations.
